If it is on our treatment list, you can rest assured we perform them every week.
THE CONVENIENCE FACTOR
We're always looking for ways to make your experience with us easier. This means things like online booking (and cancellations), free client parking at each salon, late nights, text reminders, getting the uncomfortable parts of a waxing treatment done as quickly as possible and looking for ways to add a little magic to each treatment. Not to mention our gift vouchers that never expire.

We are a diverse team at Bare. But our core values are the same – kindness, making our clients feel welcome and safe, delivering great treatment results and seeking to be the highlight in our client’s day.
Part of our values mean we stand by our service. We’re not in a 100% business; as hard as we try, sometimes it just doesn’t work out that way. So if we get it wrong, we’ll do something about it. Some of our most loyal clients are those who have given us a second chance (thank you). We were given that chance because of the way we dealt with the problem – we’ll own it, and fix it.

We keep our product range pretty simple. Limited to products that we believe in. We trust them, know them inside and out and believe they deliver results for you. Our core brands include Dermalogica for results-based skincare and Pure Fiji for luxurious body-care.

Our Story
Bare was founded by Vivianne McIntosh in 2007 with our Glen Innes salon opening in 2008 and our Grey Lynn location opening in 2010.

Viv’s passion is customer service with a focus on delivering professional and consistent experiences for clients.

Alongside Bare, Viv has a corporate career having worked for 20+ years in Change Management and communications. She sees many similarities between her work as a client-facing consultant and growing a small business that is ultimately reliant on having a team who love what they do.

I’m definitely not a qualified beauty therapist! Pretty good with a spray tanning machine though. I am passionate about education and training our team so that they can deliver exceptional client experiences. I love finding ways to do things more efficiently, use technology to your benefit, and add more value into our treatments.

Hailing from the UK, I joined Bare whilst on my travels in 2017 and just never left. I joined the beauty industry back in 2012, but working with the team here has reignited my passion for what I do. I’m a waxer through and through and our male waxing specialist. I thrive off making people laugh and feel amazing when they leave.

Starting as a Bare client, I knew exactly where I wanted my first job to be once becoming a qualified Beauty Therapist. After a few years overseas I have returned home to Bare to continue my journey as Manager of our Glen Innes salon. I'm excited to be back and to continue the high level of service Bare is known for.

I’m the guy responsible for funding the salon social events, teaching the team how to negotiate a pay rise (they’ve gotten really good at this), and stopping them from ordering a year's stock in a single month. Mostly I do what Sam and Viv tell me.
